Pedestrian Access Change
Randolph at Wacker will be open to thru traffic this afternoon. In addition to the Randolph opening, pedestrian routes have been altered to ensure easier and more efficient travel near the construction zone. Please see the map below for the current pedestrian access plan as of May 27, 2011.
Randolph Street to Reopen at Wacker Drive
Randolph Street at Wacker Drive will reopen to traffic Friday afternoon May 27, as crews near completion of the first Wacker intersection to be reconstructed. Prior to the afternoon rush hour, two westbound lanes of Randolph will reopen. The lanes were closed in early January at the start of the Wacker Drive reconstruction from Randolph to Van Buren. Wacker will remain closed at Randolph until mid-summer. Washington also remains closed. The north sidewalk of Randolph remains open. The Randolph intersection is the first of seven to be rebuilt. Today’s concrete pour canceled
The concrete pour scheduled for Wednesday, May 25 has been canceled due to severe weather. The pour is being rescheduled and will be posted on the website once a date has been finalized.
Deck pour begins Wednesday
The next Wacker Drive deck pour will take place at the intersection of Wacker and Washington this Wednesday, May 25 at 1 a.m. The pour will last into the afternoon. As part of the pour, 200 trucks will deliver 1,800 cubic yards of concrete. Please plan your travel accordingly.
