ABOUT THE PROJECT
The City of Chicago completely rebuilt the North-South leg of Wacker Drive from Randolph to Congress. Revive Wacker Drive, Part 2, modernizes the upper and lower levels of Wacker Drive by creating safer, more efficient roadways for all travelers. CDOT also rebuilt the Congress Parkway interchange with safer exit and entrance ramps and a spacious, three-acre park.


Revive Wacker Drive has three components

  • Congress Interchange reconstruction - June 2010 to summer 2012
  • Randolph to Monroe reconstruction - January 2011 to December 2011
  • Monroe to Van Buren reconstruction - January 2012 to December 2012
